Microalloyed fine-grained steels are low carbon. By adding niobium, titanium or vanadium in small amounts, we significantly increase the tensile strength compared to soft DC-grade steels, but still manage to maintain good formability. The low carbon content (< 0.1%) ensures that the material can be easily welded.
