The applications for our profiles and their manufacture are often technically very sophisticated. In accordance with our customers' wishes, profiles are tailor-made from strip steel or wire. With a profile-rolled strip or wire, you get this on coil with a profile optimized for its use in further production steps or where you produce a cross-sectional profile with a function for the end product "built in" from the start.
From a simple plane-parallel profile to a polygonal complex profile.
These are, of course, always optimally adapted to the requirements of the customers' end products. From raw material to finished profile, profiles are manufactured through a process of several individual steps consisting of a combination of heat treatment and profile rolling.
The mill has its own profile tool grinding workshop, which performs precision calibration of the rolls for profile and flat rolling. Modern measuring technology and fast control technology ensure that width and thickness tolerances are tight even at the highest rolling speeds. Steel strip profiles and shaped wire from our supplier Waelzholz also work well in a range of other applications. It is used to manufacture the fastener in engine and transmission construction, the belt in continuously variable transmission systems, as rollers or bushings for roller chains and for plain bearings, etc. We have the optimal solution for every application and every product.
The diversity of these profiles and applications can already be seen in the wide range of materials used in profile production. Materials used range from DC grades to spring steels, case hardening steels and steels for quenching and tempering - but not in the hardened state before rolling.
