OPTIMAL CHOICE OF MATERIAL
By telephone or at a meeting, together we can discuss a drawing, a specification or perhaps just a simple sketch. The goal is to reach an optimal choice of material in terms of function, strength, manufacturing, cost control etc. The earlier in the process we have this discussion the better it is. We are often able to sample material in small quantities at short notice for testing and evaluation.
COMPUTER SIMULATIONS AND FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS – FEA
By using computer simulation in the form of Finite Element Analysis, we can help you to effectively shorten the development of a new product and at the same time reduce your cost. Without initially having to use expensive tools and prototypes we can simulate how a part reacts from when it is being formed to the parts acts during its final use, with loads, boundary conditions and material properties. In this way you can get a thorough understanding of the behaviour of a component or a whole complex system of many parts and the interaction between them. With FEA, we can also evaluate how different modifications of various conditions and characteristics affect the performance of the part.
=> A valuable tool for optimizing your product and your competitiveness.
We can analyse everything from simple components to large complex structures and systems.
The images below show the distribution of stress and displacements of a single component.
EDUCATION ON LOCATION
We have implemented a number of training sessions at the premises of our customers with very good results. We decide together the approach and direction of the education. Generally, one part is basic knowledge on different materials and its properties and one part where specific details or issues from your production are discussed with you to achieve an optimal solution.
METALLOGRAPHIC EXAMINATIONS
As part of our service to our customers, we also assist with metallographic examinations as part of the evaluation of a new product or a new material. This should also be a step in the process to find a solution to the problems encountered by a component during the manufacturing or use of it. This can provide very valuable information on causes of the problems and how to solve them.
To the right you have some examples of examinations carried out in different situations.
