RAWAEL - A high strength steel.
Why RAWAEL
- High strength
- Good formability
- No piece hardening
- Weight reduction
- Low spread in spring back
- Suitable for welding
Since you avoid piece hardening with RAWAEL, you also avoid all its drawbacks such as destortion with difficulties regarding tolerances, sorting, scrap, long lead-time and high total costs. With RAWAEL, you have the opportunity to have a material with close tolerances both in terms of dimension and mechanical properties. This gives you close tolerances on your end product. Further more you achieve better productivity compared with a material with larger spread. With small variations in mechanical properties and thickness, you will only get small variations in spring back.
Below you find indications of mechanical properties of the various RAWAEL – materials. Conventional materials means, micro-alloyed steels according to EN 10268. The chart shows that RAWAEL has clearly higher elongation values for a certain strength level than the standard materials.
In addition, RAWAEL has a high level of isotrophy, giving you quite similar properties along and across the rolling direction. Even along the rolling direction the material can be bent with tight radiuse
